CPR	anyone - all coaches must be up to date	Session participants will learn proper CPR techniques during this session. Renewal of your CPR certificate is required, and this session meets that requirement.	yes	Small Gym
Stop the Bleed	REQUIRED - NEW STAFF and THOSE WHO DID NOT ATTEND LAST YEAR Refresher course for those who have already taken	The Coal City Fire Department will present this session. This will be a refresher course and a required training for new staff. Sign up for this lifesaving training if you need a refresher on using your kit. This is a state-mandated training that must be completed every two years.	yes	Chorus Room
Diabetic Training	REQUIRED by nurses and health aides, bus drivers, teachers, and co-teachers with diabetic students	Emily Nolan and Danielle Meyer will present information regarding the care of diabetics in the classroom, school, and the nurse's office. Any staff member who will be in contact with a diabetic student is required to attend.	yes	Room 503
Emergency Operations	ALL STAFF - REQUIRED	This session will cover all of the Coal City Schools' emergency operations. Participants will receive detailed instructions and information regarding emergency preparedness within the school, city, and surrounding communities.	yes	PAC
Deaf and Hard of Hearing	Anyone who will have a student requiring DHH supports	This session will go over basic strategies and supports for DHH students.	yes	Room 505
English Language Learners	Anyone	This session will explore basic strategies to help support EL students in the classroom.	yes	Room 503
De-Escalation Training	Anyone	De-escalation training is needed at all grade levels to help support learners. This session will give you basic training on de-escalation techniques.	yes	Room 500
Nurse Meeting	nurses and health aides	Nurse Meyer and Nurse Nolan will review proper documentation, state requirements, and general health procedures. This session is required for health aides and nurses.	yes	Admin Conf.
SPED Collaboration	all special education teachers and paraprofessionals	Special education teachers and paraprofessionals will meet to discuss expectations, classroom procedures, and IEPs/504s.	yes	Band Room
Aide Overview	all paraprofessionals	Mrs. Davidson will review the expectations of paras in the classroom during this 1-hour session.	none	Band Room
Danielson for New Teachers	new teachers and anyone needing a refresher	The evaluation tool was updated to reflect SB0028. If you need a refresher because you are due to be evaluated this year, or you are a new teacher, this one is for you!	yes	Room 505
Trauma-Informed Practices	ALL STAFF - REQUIRED	During this session, you will learn about trauma-informed practices. This will include defining trauma, trauma-responsive learning environments, and the whole child.	yes	Cafeteria
