6-12 Purposeful Problem
Solving in Math
Room 512 Are you looking for some fresh ideas to get students to persevere in problem-solving and build stamina?  In this session, we will look at how standards are written for different aspects of Rigor including conceptual knowledge, procedural and application.  Resources with rich tasks and ways to include real-world problem-solving will be shared. We will take a look at instructional and questioning strategies to help be more facilitative to encourage purposeful problem-solving. Cheryl Beasley      
6-8 IAR Math Prep Room 512 Everything you need to know about IAR prep.  Let's get students ready for the state assessment! In this session, we will look at test design, question types, and extended responses.  Cheryl Beasley has had the opportunity to help with state test construction (ISAT, PARCC, IAR)  for the last 12 years.  Resources will be shared and access to practice tests from 2015 - current.  Extended response is something students struggle with, come learn how to score the most points on these question types and how you can practice it with students.  Cheryl Beasley      
Autism Helpers and Collaboration Room 503 Join others to learn more about how to help students on the spectrum reach success in and out of the classroom.  Staff will collaborate on current practices and how to make improvements necessary. Katie Sobin
