Becca Hall headed to state tournament

Coal City High School’s Girls Tennis Team will be represented at the Illinois High School Association’s State Tournament by singles player Becca Hall.

Becca enters the state tournament as one of the top 128 singles players in the state and will take the court at 8 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 23 for her first match against Wheaton St. Francis.  Her bid to the state tournament started with a win over her Streator opponent at last week’s Sectional followed by a win over Ottawa.

Becca enters the three day tournament with 20 wins on the season and Coach Matt Leman said she has the potential to have a great tournament and that is, “all due to how hard she plays, how smart she plays.”

Coal City celebrated Becca with a send-off on Wednesday morning.
