The Coal City School District will host walk-in registration for students new to the school district on Thursday, July 10 from 7:30-10:30 a.m. and Tuesday, July 15 from 4-6 p.m.
The first step to register is to complete pre-registration online through the New Student Registration link located on the district website at www.coalcityschools.org. Families will receive an email with step by step directions on how to complete the online registration. Be sure to read through the informational page for additional requirements.
Before a student can attend, families must provide proof of residency; driver’s license or state ID for notary purposes [does not need the correct address, but needs to be valid], and Illinois State Board of Education Student Transfer Form issued by prior school [does not apply to students who are entering Illinois from another state or new Pre-K/Kindergarten students]. This can be done during the new student in-person registration that will take place at the District Administration Center, 550 S. Carbon Hill Rd., Coal City. For those unable to attend, a second date has been set for Tuesday, July 15 from 4-6 p.m.
Registration for returning students for the 2025-2026 academic year is open and accessible on the district website at www.coalcityschools.org. Registration information is located within the Parent tab.
