To celebrate the end of their science unit on plants and animals, Coal City Early Childhood Center first graders went on an exciting field trip to Big Run Wolf Ranch.
The visit began with a special presentation where students learned about a porcupine, lynx, and wolves. The presenters shared interesting facts and allowed the students to see these amazing animals up close.
After the presentation, the students had the opportunity to walk around the ranch and observe a wide variety of animals, including a tiger, black bear, cougar, coyote, horse, and many more.
“It was a fantastic day full of learning, curiosity, and excitement! The trip helped bring our science unit to life and gave students a greater appreciation for wildlife,” said first grade teacher Mrs. Stewart.
