Building their knowledge

Students in Mr. Kennell’s class have been busy this semester learning to code virtual reality with A-Frame, learning the programming language of python, managing the operations of a hotel, becoming certified in Google Sketchup, and constructing decks with stairs.

The high school students learned about being a software engineer at the beginning of the semester by using CodeHS to program their own virtual world.  Virtual reality has become a big part of the engineering world today to plan large projects.

Then students worked in the Knowledge Matters simulation to become Marriott Certification in Hospitality Tourism and Management.

Finally, students worked individually as construction engineers to plan, draw a blueprint, and build a model deck with stairs.
