Viewing the eclipse

This week was very exciting for sixth grade science.  Earlier in the school year, all sixth grade students learned the differences between solar eclipses and lunar eclipses.

On Monday, April 8, students were able to witness this phenomenon in real time.

“Being as though the next total solar eclipse students in Illinois will be able to see will occur in 2099, this was a once in a lifetime experience for me to have with my students and one I will never forget, “ said science teacher Mrs. Mark.
