Grundy Area FFA advancing to districts

The Section 7 FFA Ag Sales Career Development Event was held Wednesday, Oct. 18 in Serena and the results received the following afternoon provided exciting news as the team placed first.

Team members had to play the part of Pioneer Seed Sales Reps. They took a test, then worked as a team to develop a sales pre-call plan followed by questions from the judges, and wrapped up with one on one individual sales calls.

“It’s a great way to build teamwork and communication skills as well as learn a ton about the ag industry,” said Brandy Biros, agriculture instructor and FFA advisor.

Team members include Coal City High School senior Bradley Burla, Margaret Dockery from Reed-Custer High School and Minooka Community High School students Vivienne Forte and Cassie Fuhrman.

Grundy Area FFA is based at Coal City High School.
