McTeacher’s Night filled with fun and fundraising

Coal City Middle School’s McTeacher’s Night at the Coal City McDonalds raised close to $1,400 that will be used for the school’s PBS program.

“We had a perfect night of weather and got an awesome turnout from our students and families,” said Principal Travis Johnson, who spent part of the evening dressed as an apple pie.

The sale of hot apple pies, combined with some tips, generated $964.57. The remaining funds came from food sales. McDonald’s donated 20% of food sales during the event back to the school and that came out to $426.98.

Middle School staff participating in McTeacher’s Night were Rodney Monbrum, Mandy Eaton, Sarah Veronda, Michelle Sobieck, Amy Siefken, Angela Roudis, Willow DeKruiff, Mikayla Lange, Lori Moir, Tiffany Berger, Sharon Swink, Meagan Van Duyne, Cealy DePersia, Mark Masters, Neil Nicholson, Matt Perry and Ronnie Aldridge.
