The Coal City Coaler golf team shot a 355 to finish in fifth place at the IHSA 2A Regional on Wednesday at The Oaks at Rivers Edge Golf Course in Pontiac.
Coaler seniors Ryland Megyeri and Ethan Bach will advance to the IHSA Sectional. Megyeri shot an 82 and Bach an 87.
Also competing at the regional were seniors Jack Varnak and Will McArdle and juniors Culan Lindemuth and Griffin Winke.
The Coalers are coached by Harlan Kennell and Joe Micetich.
