Marching Coaler Band members honored on Senior Night

Senior members of the Marching Coaler Band were honored for their dedication to the school's music program during Senior Night.

 

Zech Abbott is a four year member of the marching band and serves as a section leader. Zech was accompanied on senior night by Pam and Freddy Rodriguez. A bari sax player, Zech is also a member of the jazz band. Zech’s future plans are to attend Joliet Junior College and begin his internship as a photographer. 

 

Mackenzie Brown plays the snare drum  in the Marching Coaler Band. Mackenzie is a four year member and serves as a section leader. Accompanying Mackenzie on Senior Night were Karyn and Clark Chapman. Mackenzie is also involved in jazz and symphonic bands, Madrigals and Educators Rising. Following high school, Mackenzie is headed to North Central College to study music or history education and plans to audition for the DCI—Phantom Regiment. 

 

Bradley Burla  is a four year member of the Marching Coaler Band and plays Bass 3. Bradley is also involved in jazz band, speech, tennis, madrigals, FFA, Spanish Honor Society, Coalers with Character and student council. Bradley was accompanied on Senior Night by his parents, Pamela and Brett Burla. Following high school, Bradley plans to attend the University of Illinois to study animal science. 

 

Lexi Higgins—Weatherhead is a four year member of the marching band and plays euphonium. Lexi was escorted on Senior Night by Jamie and Eric Ham and John Martin. Following graduation in the spring, Lexi plans to continue her studies in the field of early childhood education.

 

Kylie Jackson has participated in marching band for all four years of high school and is this year’s color guard captain. Kylie  is also involved in winter guard, concert band, tennis, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, math team and SADD. Kylie was accompanied on Senior Night by her parents, Chris and Suzanne Jackson. Kylie  plans to continue her education after high school, however she is undecided on a major. 

 

Chesterine Kuhel leads the Marching Coaler Band this year as a drum major. She has participated in band all four years of high school. Chesterine also participates in madrigals, musical, trapshooting, speech and science club. She  was escorted on Senior Night by her parents, Heather Kruszewski and Alex Kuhel. Chesterine’s future plans are to attend college and obtain a chemistry degree in forensics, and participate in the college’s trapshooting and band programs. 

 

Angie O’Connor is a four year member of the Marching Coaler Band playing alto sax and serving as a section leader this year. Angie is also involved in the Spanish Honor Society.  Accompanying Angie on Senior Night was Jacquelyne Rioseco. Following graduation, Angie plans to enroll at Northern Illinois University to major in psychology or nursing. 

 

Delaney Peacock is a four year member of the band program and is a member of the color guard. Delaney is also a member of the winter guard, band, tennis team and Spanish Honor Society. Accompanying Delaney on Senior Night were Paula and Brian Barla and Edson and Sandy Peacock.  Delaney’s future plans are to study interior design at Joliet Junior College. 

 

Karli  Pierson is a two year member of the color guard. Karli is also involved in band, jazz band, speech, and Educators Rising. Karli was accompanied on Senior Night by her dad, John and brother, Brady Pierson. Following graduation, Karli plans to major in education.

 

Kylee Scheer has been a member of the Marching Coaler Band all four years of high school and plays the mellophone. In addition to band, Kylee participates in scholastic bowl and art club. Kylee was accompanied on Senior Night by her parents, Joe and Brandy Scheer. Following graduation, Kylee plans to study actuarial science at Illinois State University.
