Coal City Theatre Department

Coal City Theatre Department is responsible for producing all the theatrical productions within Coal City Unit District #1. Over the last 10 years, we have garnered 21 nominations for the Illinois High School Musical Theatre Awards, and have brought home the award four times, including Jack Micetich's most recent win for 2023 Best Direction of a Musical for his work on Anastasia.

 

In addition to our program's success, our students have seen success at the state-wide level. All State Production Alumni include Derek Carlson, Stephen Byers Jr, Mason Natyshok, Kayla Connelly, Riley Nevin, and Gavyn Williams.
