For Earth Day 2024, students in Mrs. Bormet’s class had the opportunity to learn about all of the benefits bees bring to our environment. They listened to a presentation about bees from a specialist from Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. They also learned new vocabulary and got to see, first hand, what the different bees looked like. Students were also excited to plant “helper flowers,” Marigolds, to bring home to their families. We hope to check the progress of the flowers until the end of the year.
